Getting off to a rapid start was no problem for Joey’s Engine, a production engine re-manufacturer, which built 139 engines in its first three weeks of operation. The company soon outgrew its leased facility and in order to keep up with production demand began looking for alternative space.
HBDi provided financing for Joey’s Engine to acquire a 5,500- square-foot state-of-the-art machine shop just north of downtown Houston and the company was able to expand its operations and hired ten employees.
One of only four production rebuilders in the Houston area, the highly reputable company builds high performance engines for race car drivers, remanufactures engines for autos and light trucks and sells engine parts and accessories.
